The Thing I Feared Has Happened: Stretch Goal for Each Sold Separately!
Check the latest project update for the details, but basically guilt hit me and I had to do something about it. You see, I just couldn’t get over the guilt I was feeling about how quickly the project met its goal . . . so shortly after the goal was met I started working on more pages for the book.
I’ve also ordered Transformers Mini-Spies and Decoys so that I can add a couple of pages about bonus items in action figures; hey, one way to move product off shelves is to give the kids a little something extra. And that’s exactly what happened when Hasbro inserted extra toys inside . . . or when Kenner started adding coins to their Star Wars action figures. And since Each Sold Separately is about marketing action figures in the eighties I really should try and include the bonus item trick in the book.
Check the update for more info.

That’s great to hear about getting the funding and addition of more content. Can’t wait to get my hands on a copy.
@Jason – Thanks. I got email this morning giving me permission to a couple of toy pics I wanted to use; plans are coming together.
Now, if only you could figure out how to pack in a toy or coin in the book you’d sell even more! 🙂
@Stratos – I’m not quite ready to get into toy manufacturing. Scary!
Make a .pdf version please! I’d totally be on-board, but the costs of shipping it to Korea just don’t make sense.
