Wayback Attic in San Marcos
On Friday after work, Gina and I went into San Marcos and visited a new store, Wayback Attic, where we found lots of cool, old stuff. I think this picture (that I swiped from their site, but I don’t think the owners, Valerie and Mike, will get all that upset) shows what I’m talking about.
Yeah, that’s a selection of classic Indiana Jones toys from the 80s, and that’s just a tiny bit of what they’ve got in the store. Gina grabbed a t-shirt, I grabbed a MIB Mummies Alive! toy, and we grabbed a loose action figure that’s scheduled to be demoed and added to the upcoming 12-inch bootleg action figure project.
If you’re in Austin or San Antonio it’s worth the short trip to check out the store. Lots of superhero toys, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and assorted other stuff. And it’s everything from late 70s toys to today. Plus books and such, but I’m more interested in the toys.
I have been wanting just this kind of shop in the area for a while! I live in New Braunfels and will defiantly be stopping by this shop in the next few days!
@Nick – It’s a great store. Have you been to Hog Wild in Austin?
No I sure have not. I’m up there all the time I will have to check it out, where is it located at? Or do they have a website?
@Nick – Here’s the Hog Wild website:
