Hasbro’s “Fan Built Combiner Wars” Promotion
Hasbro’s Transformers Combiner Wars (Amazon.com search*) looks to be running beyond 2015. How else can Hasbro launch their fan Combiner Wars program with a scheduled release in 2016 if the line won’t still be running next year. Does this mean we will see even more new combiners announced at New York Toy Fair next month? I certainly hope so!
Tformers.com has the info, but if you’re in a rush then all you need to know is that fans will get to vote on the design/creation of a new Transformers combiner character. I doubt this will be allowed to go in any insane direction — Hasbro has to want to use as much retooling as possible — but it will still be fun to see what comes out of the promotion.
The new “Fan Built Combiner†character will be part of the TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS: COMBINER WARS toy line. Like all the toys in the line, which debut in stores this month, the new Combiner figure will be able to mix-and-match limbs with other figures in the line so kids and fans can create their own custom TRANSFORMERS COMBINERS figures.
