Spotted Online – Video Review of Jetfire Plugs

Hasbro’s Transformers Generations Jetfire* is a very nice update to the classic character, but as many have pointed out there are some real gaps in the toy’s design. Hollow sections where, to save plastic, Hasbro just left things open and vacant. I didn’t dive into this issue in my own review of the toy, but it has come up enough that there is now an upgrade kit to plug those gaps.

Check out this video review for a look at the upgrade parts, and then see this TFW2005 thread if you want to order the kit for yourself. I’ve not seen the kit myself, but it’s a great idea and seems to work pretty easily.

  1. I was totally sold on this until he mentioned the price, ouch! The kit is as much as a Voyager Class Transformer at a fraction of the size. Definitely will have think on this.

    1. @Jason – Price is the greatest challenge for these garage kits. With so much hand labor (and tiny number of sales) it’s more an artpiece than a toy accessory. But I completely understand the hesitation. Price is king!
