Warman’s Star Wars Field Guide and the Kenner Expanded Universe
I am certain that by now many of you know that the worst thing to happen is for my brain to fixate on something. After all, that’s exactly how the world ended up with my two third party Transformers books. Don’t let me start focusing too intently on one single thing, please. It’s better for all of us if I remain scattered, unfocused, and constantly jumping from subject to subject.
Unfortunately, my brain seems to be zeroing in on those 1998 Kenner Star Wars Expanded Universe action figures. This means I’ve been digging deeper and deeper into that subline of toys, and today while searching online I ran across the Google Books entry for the 2005 Warman’s Star Wars Field Guide . . . which has two pages on the Expanded Universe toys.
The 2005 Warman’s Star Wars Field Guide* lists values that are higher than I am seeing the toys offered at today. In fact, the Dark Trooper price in the guide aligns better with where the toy was back in 2009 than today’s price, demonstrating once again just how this Kenner subline has dropped in price lately.
I’m certainly okay with a drop in price. The lower prices on the Expanded Universe subline means that it was dirt easy to track down and order the missing figures; according to tracking info I should have a complete collection of this subline within the next week or so. Yay!
Now to see what other information I can find out in the world. What am I doing with the information and the toys? You really don’t want to know . . .

The Dark Trooper and the Jumptrooper are the only two figures I have never owned from this line. Still have the rest of them from when I received them for Christmas of 1998! I’ve always loved this sub-line, too! EU stuff is just so fascinating.
