Spotted Online – GeekDad Promotes Lost Protectors
The Lost Protectors Kickstarter project has already hit those dreaded “middle days” and it is now time for the project backers to find new sites to promote them. You see, in Kickstarter projects it is not at all uncommon for the big push to happen in the first day or two, then a flat period takes place as buzz slows, and then another spike at the end as the countdown comes to an end. The challenge for any project is to keep the heat on during those middle days when things are flat.
That’s where posts like this one at GeekDad can really help a project succeed. Me posting about the project today will have basically zero impact on the project — I’ve already mentioned it a few times now, so any of you who were interested have probably jumped in — but a completely different site writing about the toys today could lead to a few new supporters joining.
Check the GeekDad post if you’re curious how a non-toy site looks at this series. (Hint: Transformers gets a mention.) Personally, I believe that this line has blasted around all of the Transformers communities enough for now and it’s time to start showing me what the line will look like with Mattel’s Masters of the Universe Classics action figures. Show me photos of that Skeletor-inspired Catastropheles with an actual Skeletor!!!
