IDW’s Transformers comics have really taken off over the last few years, and seeing that Hasbro’s upcoming Transformers Generations Combiner Wars Leader Ultra Magnus includes a Minimus Ambus (see the TFWiki) demonstrates just how much impact those stories are having on Generation One-inspired designs.
Hasbro really seems to be in a new “Golden Age” of Generation One-styled toys, and all I can do is hope that sales are strong enough that someone out there eventually sees these designs and decides to take their live-action films in an entirely new direction. Please.

I cancelled my Masterpiece Ultra Magnus preorder when I heard the rumor about this. IDW Ultra Magnus probably means more to me now than a perfect G1 Magnus.
AMEN on the new direction for the films. Movies based on the current IDW comics, for example, would be amazing.
