“The latest in toys & games”

Check it out, guys! The October, 1978 issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance shares with us these two pages showcasing that year’s newest toys and games. Kenner’s Star Wars series makes a strong showing, and seeing Milton-Bradley’s Star-Bird in the list was a very pleasant surprise.

In addition to listing toy name and manufacturer, the article also offers up the (at the time) retail prices and even a short description of each toy and game. The X-Wing description in the article reads:

“An authentically detailed model of Luke Skywalker’s spacecraft. There are many other Star Wars figures and models available, including a Light Saber and Death Star Space Station.”
