Many, many years ago I gave away comics at Halloween and the kids loved it. We won’t be at home for Halloween this year (two parties in one night, wow, what an exciting life we must lead) but if you’ll be home you might want to give this a shot. You could also check with your local comic stores; I’m betting they have boxes of bad comics they would give you at a really good price.
Wait? Exactly how does handing out bad comics get kids interested in comics? I think there’s a flaw in this system.
I think I’ll be home for Halloween this year… I doubt I’m giving away comics, but it’s a neat idea. I want to take pictures of the kids with cool costumes, but is that a faux pas nowadays? I don’t want to be chased out of the neighborhood for being a creep.
That’s a good question, Newt. What was once an innocent thing makes people freak out now. Err on the side of caution, I say!
