Die Cast Star Wars Vehicles from Kenner on Sale at Fred Meyer

This ad from the Eugene Register-Guard (December 23, 1979) taunts us all with the classic Kenner Star Wars die cast toys priced at less than $5/each. I’ve never collected these, but the run of toys is so small — and the designs so incredible — I really should.

I remember playing with that Imperial Cruiser toy when I was a kid, specifically one day at recess when we were shooting it down the slide. Man, we really played with our toys rough back then.
