“Good investment may be in the cards”
Today I’m directing your attention to an article about non-sport cards from May 24, 1991. Talking about the Topps Desert Storm trading cards (Amazon.com search*) of the time, the article — credited to Money Magazine — both mentions the increasing value of the cards (at the time) and offers readers some advice on getting into the trading card hobby.
If we look at the prices of the cards today* then we find that trading cards (like toys) really aren’t a reliable investment. Collect what you like, kids, and try to avoid the speculation game.
