“Five Magazines Nationwide Devoted Strictly to Roleplaying”
According to “A World of Make-believe and Fantasy — in the February 8, 1982 Lewiston Daily Sun newspaper — the roleplaying game fans of the time had it pretty damned easy. Just how many roleplaying game magazines can we walk into a store and buy today? After a recent visit to Dragon’s Lair in Austin I’m thinking the number is zero. Sad. Very sad.
Pendragon also sells trade magazines for the fantasy, role-playing games industries. One of the most popular Dragon, is a nationally distributed publication.
“There are five magazines nationwide devoted strictly to roleplaying,” Fitzgerald said. “There’s a real boom in the fantasy-art industry.”
Maybe in 1982, but today’s world of 2015 has replaced most magazines with the internet.
