“Mad About Max” with Heavy Metal in 1985
With all of the excitement surrounding Mad Max: Fury Road (which I’ve seen twice, something I don’t normally do) I thought it would be fun to poke at archive.com and see what classic Mad Max information I could uncover. Imagine my delight when I ran across an interview with George Miller in the July, 1985 issue of Heavy Metal magazine. Slightly longer than a two-page spread, the interview came out around the time Beyond Thunderdome was in theaters.
Best part of the interview? Miller saying that he felt they didn’t do it right with the first two Mad Max films.

I’m still sad George Miller didn’t get to do the JLA movie 🙁
@Wolf – That would be insane. In a good way.
Love his quote about defining the adversary.
“The true adversary is always yesterday’s hero.”
