Affiliate Link – DC Collectibles’ “Thrasher” Batman Action Figure
There’s something about the action figures from DC Collectibles that keeps sucking me back in. Despite QC and design problems with their toys in the past, whenever I see something like this Batman “Thrasher Suit” Action Figure* my first instinct is always “gotta get that!” I suspect that my problem is that their sculpts are usually fantastic; it’s not until the toy is in my hands that I remember weird things like top-heavy figures that cannot stand, bizarre joint choices, and cheap-feeling plastic.
Because hey. Look at that design! That looks great!
Based on the designs from the fan-favorite artist of BATMAN, Greg Capullo, comes the next wave in the hit Designer Series from DC Collectibles, including Mr. Freeze (7.25″), Red Hood (7.2″), Thrasher Suit Batman Deluxe Figure (9″) and Cat woman (6.5″). Figure sold separately.
It’s not bad? Fairly hefty, no floppy joints, good paint. I got a few bucks knocked off the price, so I didn’t feel burned there; but the helmet doesn’t seem that secure. (Unless I’m just not cramming it on there.)
