1997 Newspaper Ad for Funtastic Cards
After yesterday’s peek at the BattleTech trading card game (Amazon.com search*) from the nineties I went into the Google newspaper archives in search of news about the game. Nothing. I found plenty of stories about Magic: The Gathering, but I struck out when it came to BattleTech stories. How very sad.
I did, however, encounter this 1997 ad for Funtastic Cards. It’s a tiny little thing, part of a larger “local business” section, but it’s still kinda neat to see that list of card games that the store carried in 1997.
