Star Wars and “Box-Office Smash” at Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal has posted thoughts on Star Wars advance ticket sales, and so far the prediction is that The Force Awakens will have the highest opening weekend ever. Expectations are that the film is going to smash every record out there, and based on the buzz around all of the teasers and trailers I would be surprised if the movie didn’t make news.

“By the time “The Force Awakens” opens in the U.S. on Dec. 17, those records won’t just be broken, but will be distant specks in the rearview mirror.”

Gina and I have our tickets for an early morning showing at the Alamo Draft House, and now it’s just down to waiting for the clock to countdown. Fingers are crossed into unsolvable knots over here in hopes that the film is an astounding work that signals Disney is going to do an amazing job with the franchise.
