“Your Toughest Opponent Shouldn’t be the Rulebook.”
Back in the summer of 1989, around loving the hell out of Tim Burton’s Batman and West End Games’ Star Wars roleplaying game, I was snatching up the second edition Advanced Dungeons & Dragons (find at Amazon.com*) books just as fast as TSR was releasing them. I think it’s possible I still look at this edition of the game as the best version, but I can accept that that opinion is more about nostalgia than any objective measure of value.
Hey, regardless of whether it’s truth or nostalgia talking can we all agree that this comic ad from the time is a great treat for a Tuesday morning?
