After three incredible newspaper ads for LJN’s Dungeons & Dragons toys (first ad, second ad, third ad) it’s time to shift our attention to how TSR went about promoting the Dungeons & Dragons toys. That brings us to this 2 Warps to Neptune post in which TSR’s 1983 catalog is ready to entertain us. First products in the catalog? The toys! Okay, that’s pretty damn awesome.

I love seeing those old figures. I didn’t really have any of the bendable ones, but I remember ogling them on the shelf at places like Toys R Us and Children’s Palace.
I know a lot of grognards who hated the toys and cartoon, but it hit me at just the right age–and they were part of my entry point for a lot of fantasy books, movies, and games.
