Droids: A Cybernetic Role-Playing Game Ad from 1983

I was searching through issues of Dragon magazine from 1983 on the hunt for info on the LJN toys when I ran across this ad for a roleplaying game titled Droids. I love obscure and small press RPGs from the eighties, but I cannot remember ever seeing this game in person and was soon searching online for any details. Well, I found two very important things:

• An overview of the game and pics at strangestones.com.
• The game listed for sale at Noble Knight. $195!?!?! Well, I guess this is one old roleplaying game I’ll never own.
