12-Inch Scale Dust Sigrid Von Thaler at Sideshow Collectibles
I may have missed the 12-inch scale Dust Zombie (mentioned here), but that doesn’t mean I’m going to skip the next release in the series, a 12-inch scale Sigrid Von Thaler. Described as “head of secret operations and researches for the Reich,” she looks like a great addition to my growing collection of 12-inch scale action figures.
So just what is Dust? This short description should give you an idea of why (besides the visuals) this is a neat concept that deserves study:
“It’s THE DIRTY DOZEN versus robots, zombies and more! The story takes place between the years of 1938 and 1950, as war ravages the globe. The Allies(North America, Western Europe, South America, Australia, the Middle East) and the Sino-Soviet Union(Eastern Europe, Soviet Union, China) battle the Axis (Germany, Japan, Africa) who are relentlessly trying to conquer the world. In 1934 the Axis found a space ship buried in the Arctic Snow while searching for fossil fuel. Aboard the craft was advanced alien technology beyond belief(including propulsion, weapon, and carbonite structural systems).”
The Dust website has some info on the series, though what it mostly has are a lot of resin model kits.
And that missing zombie figure is there! $70? Damn, that’s $30 more than the waitlist price at Sideshow. Now what the hell am I gonna do?
Wait a minute. There’s even a different version of Sigrid at the Dust site. This is getting weird. Plus I missed other figures . . . I’ve gotta stop and review this situation. I’ll get back with you guys . . .
