Parker Brothers’ “Touring” Game Advertisement from 1926
If you’ve ever played the card game Mille Bornes* then you have some idea of how the earlier Touring card game plays out. Mille Bornes, a game in which players race cars by playing out mileage cards on themselves and hazards on opponents, is a derivative of the earlier Touring game (and, arguably, and improvement on the original). I’ve got a copy of the earlier game and the vintage artwork and design is a real treat and I’m glad the game’s in my collection.
