G.I. Joe Whale and Mauler Newspaper Ad from 1985
That Hendersonville, NC newspaper ad we saw earlier this week (posted here) is loaded with great toys that deserve our attention! The G.I. Joe Whale and Mauler were two of the larger G.I. Joe vehicles of 1985, and with this ad we get a look at the sale price of the toys which tells us that if we adjust for inflation these two were the equivalent of $44 in today’s dollars. Hey, we can’t get any toys of this size and complexity for $44 today. Damn, toys sure have gone downhill in the last three decades.
