Free Masters Slime in 1986!
I’ve written about the Masters of the Universe Slime Pit playset before (see this featured post), and seeing this 1986 newspaper ad offering free slime with the purchase of two Masters of the Universe action figures leaves me asking: What other awesome toy promotions were offered in the eighties? Toymakers were doing an amazing job getting kids excited back then, and I bet there are promotions I’ve never heard of.

Masters slime! I remember it being so much slimier and more watery than I expected! I totally spilled an entire can of it on Christmas morning of 87. I just pulled out Christmas tree over it and passed it off as the tree leaking something when we took it down a couple of weeks later.
