1981 Darth Vader Collector’s Case and Slave I Newspaper Advertisement
Kenner got use out of the tooling for these two toys for years, and the Darth Vader head as a case concept was stretched beyond all imagination and even today we can buy similar cases to hold all sorts of things (find at Amazon.com*). And as for Slave I, you can get an even better look at it in the Kenner 1982 Toy Fair catalog. Isn’t it amazing how such a simple newspaper ad can be so very entertaining?
