Fast 111’s Model Kit Advertisement from 1981
I thought I had posted about the Kenner Fast 111’s toy car series before, but if I had then my search skills have failed because I can’t find anything at battlegrip.com about these toys. I guess one of the dangers of posting almost every single day for over seven years is that some things will blur together and warp in your mind.
Anyway, this 1981 advertisement for the Fast 111’s model kits comes from DC’s Warlord comic book (issue 52) and I find it odd that someone believed in the brand so much that they attempted model kits. Speaking of carrying cases! Have you seen or reported on the case for Fast 111’s? My Grandma called them “Fast One-Elevens”. The thing was made of really sturdy plastic, and when you opened it and flipped it over, it was a wedge-shaped starting line that attached to the flexible track sets that were available separately. It was such a cool play feature.
Also, I absolutely had that mail away license plate set! I stuck those tiny stickers all over the place!
