I’ve written about action figure outfit sets before — see “The Death of Action Figure Outfit Sets” — and this 1976 newspaper article by Steve Ray reminds me that I’ve still not taken steps to document some of those old packs. The article is mostly about dolls — including a creepy as hell Skipper doll that I doubt would be made today — but the closing section on action figures makes it worth the few minutes to read this bit of “news” from the seventies.
