Spider-Man Framed Giclee on Paper at Sideshow Collectibles
Limited to 100 pieces, this $500 Spider-Man art print* isn’t for the casual collector. It may be an almost 30″ tall by 25″ work of art on archival paper, but $500 is still a lot to pay for an art print to hang on your wall.
“Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the limited edition fine art prints of Every Picture Tells a Story specially framed by the gallery professionals of Parker Jordan Fine Art. Orbik starts each piece with a pencil study. Then using models, vintage costumes and props, Orbik sets the scene and photographs it. Using these photographs and carefully crafted studies, he then meticulously renders the image in oil paints. Orbik originally created this image for the first Spider-Man movie starring Tobey Maguire. Each print is hand signed by Glen Orbik.”
I love artwork, and I love originals and nice prints, but I’ve never spent more than about $200 on an original piece of artwork, and that was for a Dave McKean sketch with a book.
Do any of you guys buy originals or high-end art prints? Anyone got any particularly awesome pieces of art in their collection?
