The DIG – Copperhead-18 12-Inch Scale Action Figure Looks Awesome
I’ve mentioned more than once how the Hot Toys 12-inch scale action figures are scary, scary expensive. Well, they also look amazing, with detail far beyond anything you see in mass-market 12-inch figures and even surpassing a lot of what we see from Sideshow Collectibles. Which means that it’s no surprise at all that this DIG – Copperhead-18 action figure* looks well worth the $200 price tag.
“While out in the deep sea seeking his animal totem, Dig was attacked. When he washed up back in Omohugla, surrounded by sturgeon, both his memory of what happened and his leg were gone. Always optimistic and energetic, Dig went to work himself building a replacement appendage. And he made Jules. “She” is more than just a trouble sensor; that mecha pentapus is also an emergency air supply supporting up to five people. Jules can even generate different mixtures of gas from sea water through a special distillation process invented by her master. He calls the megadense air she produces “moonshine.””
This looks like a great piece, but for me to buy this I’d have to pass on three or four high-end designer toys for a month (or skip a couple of rounds of special Glyos releases). I’m not sure if this looks good enough for me to avoid buying any other expensive toys for a month or so, but this review at www.onesixthwarriors.com almost has me convinced that I need one of these.
After all, a 12-inch scale diving suit, weird figure, and strange robotic companion couldn’t be a bad addition to any toy collection. Right?
