ToysRUs 2002 Transformers Advertisement
I was flipping through the Transformers: War Within comics* from 2002/2003 when I ran across this ToysRUs ad for the Transformers reissues. I can remember buying a Skywarp reissue toy around this time, and looking back it’s kinda cool to realize that the first years of Transformers toys were so popular that Hasbro can continue to reproduce and resell those classic designs.

Seems like just yesterday! I actually did buy two, one to open and of course one to keep MIB. I eventually sold the second one. I never had the original Optimus Prime, so this was my first “G1” Prime.
