“Big As They Come!” 1981 Monogram Advertisement
I posted a 1981 Monogram ad last week, and now we get a look at a different ad from the company . . . and even from the same year! Kids more patient and talented than me were the ones who assembled Monogram model kits (find at Amazon.com*) back when I was a kid, and even today I find that the thought of a kit is more entertaining than the thought of sitting down to assemble a kit. Why would I ever devote hours to something that’s in pieces when I could just go buy a toy car, truck, plane, or whathaveyou? Still, it’s fun to peek at the old ads.
