1982 Masters of the Universe Newspaper Advertisement
This Beaver County Times advertisement from 1982 shows off Mattel’s then-new Masters of the Universe toyline, with Castle Grayskull taking center stage and making all of us just a little amazed at the toy’s original price. $23 for the toy, and down to $21.50 after you take off Mattel’s factory rebate, meaning that this monster of a toy was one hell of a bargain when you think about just how big it is.
