Dungeons & Dragons “Fortress of Fangs” Newspaper Advertisement
I posted the absolute best ad ever for the Fortress of Fangs playset earlier this year, but ads for LJN’s Dungeons & Dragons toyline of the eighties are so rare that I really must post each and every one that I find. Which leads us to this 1983 Lionel Play World advertisement in which both the action figures and the playset make an appearance. It’s really best for all of us if we don’t look at the prices in these old ads, but I just can’t stop staring and drooling when I see the Fortress of Fangs playset listed for $20.

Man, if only I’d still had my FoF. One of the best playsets of the era. Still have most of my figures and accessories. A few monsters too. Perhaps someday, that itch to do a book will be too much for you my friend!
