Remco’s Warlord at K-Mart in 1983
Based on DC’s Warlord (and others), the Remco Lost World of the Warlord action figure series was a Masters of the Universe-like toyline that parents frequently bought when looking for cheap He-Man-like toys. Think of it as something along the same lines as Lanard’s The Corps relative to G.I. Joe and you get the idea.
Anyway, here’s a December 1983 K-Mart sale flyer (see p. 61 of this newspaper in the Google newspaper archives) showing off Remco’s Warlords action figures on sale for $2.47/each, which is definitely lower than Masters of the Universe figures cost back when this ad was new.
For even more of Remco’s Warlord series there’s always this catalog page at Plaid Stallions to make you smile.
