Remco’s Sgt. Rock Action Figures on Sale at Fred Meyer in 1982
This 1982 Fred Meyer newspaper ad should be all you need to remember Remco’s 3.75-inch scale Sgt. Rock action figures. These G.I. Joe-sized toys were “also for use with” releases back in the eighties, and seeing the price of the single figures in this ad — $1.44/each! — makes me wonder why I never really had these. I think it’s probably because I didn’t get seriously into G.I. Joe until about 1985/1986, well after Sgt. Rock was no longer in stores.
Enjoy the ad, and then don’t miss the three Remco Sgt. Rock comic ads that I shared in 2015:
- “Move Out with New Sgt. Rock Vehicles and Weapons from Remcoâ€
- “Battalion Strength with New Soldiersâ€
- “The Battle Action Continues with Sgt. Rock Playsets!â€
