June 1990 TSR Previews and the XXVc Roleplaying Game
When did TSR publish the Buck Rogers XXVc* roleplaying game? Fortunately, TSR’s Dragon magazine was good about publishing release dates, and this full-page of product previews from the May 1990 issue of Dragon clearly shows the XXVc boxed set as a June release. I’d love to chase down some of the distributor catalogs and faxes from June, because with a bit of research I am sure we could narrow the release down to the exact day that the game started shipping.

There’s really something to be said for well-written advertising copy. Everything these days is boiled down to a teaser, a subject line, a “one weird” headline.
But those blurbs are so colorful and evocative! The Spelljammer one already has me on a hunt for that module!
