“The Incredible Hulk and the Green Thumb”

Here’s a 1976 Hostess Fruit Pies advertisement where we see Marvel’s Hulk go up against a band of plant criminals. Yes, plant people in battle with The Incredible Hulk, and all that ends the confrontation is when the criminals “save the delicious Hostess Fruit Pies!” Yes, we loved these ads when I was a kid. Hey, these are fun little single-page stories that also serve to promote a product. How can we not love this kind of advertising?
