Hasbro’s Super Joe Rocket Command Center

I wrote about Hasbro’s Super Joe toyline back in a 2013 feature post. Super Joe is a strange offshoot of G.I. Joe where Hasbro was trying something new to keep the brand alive in the late seventies, and I can fully blame G.I. Joe and Other Backyard Heroes* for all of the interest I have in the line. I own no Super Joe toys, and if I am smart I’ll keep things that way.

Still, it’s tough not to start chasing these toys down when I run across newspaper ads like this one for the Rocket Command Center. $4? That’s a crazy price!!!
