Visiting the Brian Sutton-Smith Library in June

I first visited the library back in 2015 and spent one day exploring their archives of Playthings magazine. That day of research proved helpful to my work on Empire of Shadows* and Universe Expanded*, and I even found myself tapping into the material I collected as I put together my new book project.

Well, I am now booked for a return to the Brian Sutton-Smith Library next month for another dive into the archives. I’ll be seeking out info on Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figures of the eighties, specifically in search of whatever sales data I can uncover. We know that G.I. Joe was a strong seller in the mid-eighties, and with luck we will soon have some direct info from the toy industry of the time.
