G.I. Joe Crimson Guard Commanders at ToysRUs in 1985

December 5, 1985. My new book of G.I. Joe advertisements is close to the finish line, with less than a dozen pages waiting for my attention and then the 80-page hardcover is ready to go to Kickstarter for the funding phase. And as often happens with these larger projects, there comes a point when I have more material than space . . . and that is exactly what has happened with this newspaper ad for the Crimson Guard Commanders.

A great ad, but there just isn’t room in the book to fit this in.
