Al-Qadim “Coming Soon from TSR” in 1992

Here are two things we don’t see often these days.

1. A new campaign setting for the Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying game.
   
2. A roleplaying game advertised in a mainstream comic book.

And in this 1992 comic ad, we see both of those things all at once! TSR Al-Qadim campaign setting (find at Amazon.com*) never did all that well, but it is still fun to look back at a time when there was room in the budget for experimentation within official Dungeons & Dragons products. Things are quite different today.
