1984 Playland Pre-Christmas Sale

This 1984 Playland newspaper ad doesn’t offer up any one toyline from my list of “gotta always capture these,” but instead gives us a snapshot at what Christmas of 1984 may have looked like for kids across the US. Milton Bradley’s Robotix and Hasbro’s My Little Pony are both featured, but my absolute favorite part of this ad is something very simple: We can see the ad promoted in the ad! Yeah, I am easily amused.
