1964 Etch-A-Sketch Newspaper Ad
This 1964 newspaper ad for Ohio Art’s Etch-A-Sketch* comes from early in the toy’s life and shows us that even then, the new toys were often on sale for the Christmas holiday. I’ve never been at all skilled with the Etch-A-Sketch, but the history outlined in Timeless Toys* has made me a fan of the history of the toy.
