Losing ToyFare magazine may have been a greater blow than many of us realized. You see, the loss of ToyFare was also the end of many toymakers’ outlet for print advertising, meaning that we rarely see fantastic ads like this 2007 advertisement for Hasbro’s Star Wars Unleashed Battle Packs. (And don’t forget the 2006 ad for the line.)
I know the internet gives us all of the toy promotion we can stand, but I still feel like part of the charm has faded away now that print ads for action figures are mostly a thing of the past.
