“Star Wars Adventure” at Murphy’s Mart in 1984

November 25, 1984. It is starting to look very likely that one of my projects for next year will be a companion to my two Star Wars newspaper ads of the seventies and eighties (Collect These Figures and Accessories* and A Galaxy of Action Figure Savings*). Whenever I run across another newspaper advertisement for Kenner’s Star Wars action figures and vehicles I always like to check the prices against ads I have shared earlier, keeping my eyes open for a new record low (or record high!) price.

This ad has no records, but that illustration of the Imperial Shuttle is easily one of the best we’ve seen yet in any newspaper advertisement.
