Tonka Play People Mighty Roughneck

Tonka’s Play People action figure and vehicle series makes an appearance in this 1980 newspaper ad, this time with the Big Duke Mighty Roughneck Pickup pack. A hardcore Tonka truck with accessories and an action figure that, I still say, looks like it should play alongside the Fisher-Price Adventure People, and all for under $20! That’s $20 in 1980 dollars, though, so this toy was actually much pricier than it first looks.
