Shadowrun: Trading Card Game “Where Man Meets Magic & Machine”

I shared an ad for Fasa’s 1997 Shadowrun CCG (find at Amazon.com*) a few weeks ago, pointing out how it was releasing the game a few years after the collectible card game craze of the mid-nineties that left this particular CCG without a home in the market.

Well, the game’s failure wasn’t because Fasa didn’t try to find an audience. The below advertisement for the Shadowrun CCG comes from the October 1997 issue of InQuest, published one month after the previous advertisement. They tried, but the game ultimately died at retail and is today, surprisingly, tougher to find than you might expect.
