James Bond RPG – “00” Agents Wanted!

This 1985 magazine advertisement for the Victory Games James Bond roleplaying game of the eighties (Amazon.com search*) comes from the back cover of an issue of Different Worlds and should be all that it takes to spark your memories if you ever played the game.

The ad comes from a time when the game was a strong seller and a decade when roleplaying games meant big money. Today, there are many, many RPGs offered for sale, but the majority of the games rarely find their way into a store. Not so when this was new; we weren’t buying digital books back in 1985, so sales happened in bookstores and game stores and not online.
