“One RPG Rules System Links A Universe of Adventure!”

With this 1988 advertisement, Palladium Books embraces the interconnectivity of their roleplaying games of the eighties. Though the illustration is from the Robotech roleplaying game, the ad is quick to promote the Mechanoids RPG, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes Unlimited, and much more.

Just how many of us can look at this decades-old ad and see flashes of our childhood? Tens of thousands of people played these different games back in the eighties, and this ad certainly sparks my own memories of my first encounter with each of the classic games.
