“Dino toys miff scientists”
Now here’s a hell of a fun 1988 newspaper article about the Tyco Toys Dino Riders series. It appears that there were some experts who were bothered that the Dino Riders toyline wasn’t realistic and accurate . . . which leaves me confused. Why couldn’t kids just be allowed to have fun? If any kid who enjoyed the Dino Riders toys got interested in dinosaurs because of the line, weren’t there books in 1988 that would have educated the kid beyond the plastic dinosaurs?
The hilarity of course being that Dino Riders molds were used for official Smithsonian dinosaur toys in the 90s.
@Nick Ahlhelm – Shhhhh! The toys were totally legit as soon as they lost their armaments. The dinosaur 2nd amendment must not be all that strong . . .
