Bounty Hunter Man-to-Man Western Gunfight Game
Do you remember the old Ace of Aces* or Lost Worlds* gamebooks from the eighties? These were two-player combat books where you would make a choice, call out a number, and then flip your own book to the number called by your opponent. The design of the game had each player looking at an illustration of _where_ their opponent was in the battle and what action the opponent had selected. The design of the game was pretty inventive, and I can remember playing both the Ace of Aces* game as well as a BattleTech variant of the game.
The engine was used for other games — including Marvel in the nineties and a Star Wars game in the eighties — so it should come as no surprise that Nova Game Systems also produced Bounty Hunter, a western version of the game as seen in this 1982 ad from Adventure Gaming magazine.
